5th Grade Radial Name Designs

5th Grade Art reviewed radial balance. They created interesting patterns using only their name repeated 8 times. Check out our progress and see if you can tell who's artwork is who's.

4th Grade Continuous Line Drawings

4th Grade Art reviewed a lot of elements of art for these continuous line drawings: line, shape, and color. We first drew one continuous line across the paper, then overlapped shapes on top. After that, we colored each shape 3 analogous colors (colors next to each other on the color wheel). 




Here's a preview of what the final pictures will look like. We all agree that it looks almost like camo!

4th Grade Symmetrical Names on Display!

4th Grade finished their symmetrical names and they are on display! Check out our beautiful drawings in the 4th Grade Hallway!!




3rd Grade Woven Paper!

In 3rd Grade Art, we learned about weaving and how to make paper look like a checkerboard. We also had fun with our hula skirts, hats, beards, crowns, and other fun things our cut paper looked like! We can't wait to finish our woven papers! They will be so colorful!

1st Grade Still Lifes

1st grade art learned what a still life is today. They will be drawing pears, apples, and lemons. Then, add a background with shadows, patterns, and tables. 





This fruit looks good enough to eat!  Can't wait to show our finished artwork!

2nd Grade Easter Sunsets

2nd Grade Art made beautiful paintings of Easter sunsets.







5th Grade Degas Pastels

5th Grade Art learned about Edgar Degas and his ballerinas. We also found out that he paints horses, too! First we read the book "Dance like a Butterfly" and then we sketched our ideas.



After we finished practicing, we started the final chalk pastel drawings. Can't wait to show the finished work!
